Culinarian
Introduction

Introduction
“Culinarians preside over the world of cuisine, preparing every known consumable in Eorzea. Armed with a cornucopia of ingredients from across the realm, and versed in methods from the far corners of Hydaelyn, these master chefs help adventurers maintain their strength on the battlefield.
Of all the city-states of Eorzea, Limsa Lominsa boasts the richest culinary tradition, a product of its proximity to fertile lands and plentiful seas, and its standing as the realm's foremost trading port.
Culinarians (CUL) are Disciples of the Hand that utilizes animal products, fish and vegetables to create hearty meals that provide temporary buffs on consumption. Unlike other crafters, Culinarians are incapable of repairing equipment or melding materia.
Class Role
Culinarians are Disciples of the Hand who use a skillet as their primary tool and a culinary knife as their secondary tool to create various foods. Players who consume these foods can gain various beneficial effects.
The main materials required for Culinarian crafting are ingredients and seafood. Vegetables and fish are gathered by Botanists and Fishers respectively, while meat drops from enemies.
Unlike all other Disciples of the Hand, Culinarians do not craft any equipment, and therefore cannot desynthesize or repair gear. However, Culinarians can desynthesize fish.
Additionally, food crafted by Culinarians can be sold on the market board, providing players with an extra source of income.
How to Unlock
After completing the Main Scenario Quest and reaching Horizon, speak with the receptionist Charlys at the Culinarians' Guild in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (x10,y7.9) and accept the quest Way of the Culinarian to unlock the Culinarian class.
Gameplay Introduction
- First, confirm the required crafting materials, then click "Begin Synthesis" (if you lack materials, you can choose quick purchase or obtain them through crafting and gathering classes).
- The Culinarian's core mechanic revolves around the Trait Value system.
- After learning the Inspiration, Practice, and Inner Quiet skills, Culinarians can use the Inspiration skill at the top of the interface and view the acquired culinary elements.
There are 7 types of culinary elements in total: Empty Color Aroma Texture Consistency Flavor Phantom Taste. When you obtain 3 identical elements through Inspiration, you gain Divine Technique.
(Divine Technique: Increases the efficiency of the next Practice by 200%, stacking with Origin effects. Using the Practice skill consumes Divine Technique.)
- After using Practice, elements are retained at the bottom of the screen. When any element accumulates to 3, these elements are consumed to grant the character 1 stack of Inner Quiet. Phantom Taste can count as any other element for activating Divine Technique and Inner Quiet.
(Inner Quiet: Each stack increases Practice quality efficiency by 20%.)
- When the progress bar is full, the item is successfully crafted (don't forget to improve item quality as much as possible through skill effects during the crafting process!)
