Culinarians (CUL) are Disciples of the Hand that utilizes animal products, fish and vegetables to create hearty meals that provide temporary buffs on consumption. Unlike other crafters, Culinarians are incapable of repairing equipment or melding materia.

Class Role

Culinarians are Disciples of the Hand who use a skillet as their primary tool and a culinary knife as their secondary tool to create various foods. Players who consume these foods can gain various beneficial effects.

The main materials required for Culinarian crafting are ingredients and seafood. Vegetables and fish are gathered by Botanists and Fishers respectively, while meat drops from enemies.

Unlike all other Disciples of the Hand, Culinarians do not craft any equipment, and therefore cannot desynthesize or repair gear. However, Culinarians can desynthesize fish.

Additionally, food crafted by Culinarians can be sold on the market board, providing players with an extra source of income.

How to Unlock

After completing the Main Scenario Quest and reaching Horizon, speak with the receptionist Charlys at the Culinarians' Guild in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (x10,y7.9) and accept the quest Way of the Culinarian to unlock the Culinarian class.
